CLIMAAX Open Call launched

Climate risk and vulnerability assessment framework and toolbox (CLIMAAX) is a 4-year Horizon Europe funded project, which mission is to provide financial and practical support to improve regional climate and emergency risk management plans.

The Center of Applied Research in Hydrometeorology (CRAHI) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Barcelona Tech (UPC), as a project partner, invite public bodies working on climate-related risk assessments and management plans, as well as non-profit organisations committed to addressing climate change impacts and community resilience, to participate in this first Open Call for improving regional climate response.

Selected applicants will receive:

  • Up to EUR 300,000 in funding to enhance regional climate response and emergency risk management plans.
  • Access and support to the CLIMAAX methodological framework and Climate Risk Assessment toolbox.
  • Technical advice and counseling to implement the locally tailored methodologies using local data approaches.
  • Access to the outreach and engagement events organised by CLIMAAX.

It is a unique chance to make a substantial impact on climate resilience in every European region.
